I take quite a few vitamins each day, from calcium to B12 to iron. Some of the pills need to be spaced out and/or taken at particular times. This pill organizer is good but not as deep as I require.
At 1/2 inch deep, it is fairly thin. Placing it in a shirt pocket should not be much of a problem and it won't take up much room in a purse.
I have not had any problems with the lids breaking or had difficulty with shutting or opening them when needed. I've also never had a lid open while in my purse. Because I take a good number pills, it would be quite the annoyance to have to pick them up from my purse if the lids spontaneously opened.
If you buy two of these, you can fill them and have 14 days of medication/vitamins at your fingertips. Don't waste precious time everyday trying to figure out what you need to take.
You've probably seen several styles of this pill box. Some are 1/2 inch deep, some are an inch deep, some have four compartments and others two compartments. This product will hold large pills if you need to take them. If you have to take quite a few large pills, however, you may want to consider another option (see image gallery). This four compartment,1/2 inch deep pill box actually holds less pills than the two compartment 1/2 inch deep pill box that is available. The deep one inch, four compartment pill box is the same style and material as the two compartment and four compartment boxes that are each 1/2 inch deep. So the user really needs to determine how much space is needed for the pills to be taken.
I have included some photos in the product gallery that may help you make your decision. I used the largest vitamin that I take so you can, perhaps, formulate some idea what each type will hold. These boxes have simplified my life and have made the process of taking what I need to take to stay healthy less of a chore.

This is exactly what I was looking for and could not find it in the stores. It is so easy to grab and go.

I bought this for the dressing hooks and wide round foam handle. Which has been wonderful. I did not need the shoe horn. But when I went to use it the shoe horn fell out every time. Instead of gluing it in I tossed it. But the dressing hooks are the best The rubber tipped one does not slide off of clothing and that is a significant plus.

I bought this product after my hip surgery it worked well while it last but it didn't hold up. It broke in stages first the shoe horn then the hooks. It's made of hard plastic and the shoe horn part snaped when I used it to put on my shoes after just a few uses; a week or so later I used it to remove my pants with just a gentle push the hook broke. I could have been injured when it broke due to the hard plastic and it's cutting ability since it broke during use and scratched my leg. Stay away from this product, find something sturdy, this isn't it!

Small keychain device that really works. I must have collected a dozen used batteries , some slightly, some completely. Don't know where they come from but those of you that wear hearing aids know what I'm talking about. This tester is cheap, simple to use and it works well. At least on my 13 batteries. It also has room to stow a pair in it's built in holder. Don't wait until your out ; about to hear that low battery chirp in your hearing aid. Know before you start your day that you got plenty of juice. If you wear hearing aids you need this!

The tester is a one-size-fits-all device. Hearing aid batteries come in several sizes, all with different current ratings. This device might be somewhat useful for some sizes but could not be appropriate for all of them. If you just want to see if the battery has some charge, it may be O.K.
Hearing aids are programmed to disconnect from the battery when the voltage drops to about 1 volt. Otherwise, the battery would continue to discharge to 0.5 volts where the electrolyte might exit the battery air hole, and damage the hearing aid. Since this device is not calibrated, you have no idea where the 1 volt threshold is on this tester. Since it is a one-size-fits-all, its load current probably does not match that of your hearing aid.
Usually your hearing aid is the best battery tester you can have. When it cuts off, the battery is no longer capable of sustaining the required load current with a voltage above 1 volt. Even if you would put the battery in an appropriate tester to confirm end of life, you would need to do it rapidly, as the battery's chemical reaction would restore charge while there was no load, and the battery would look good when first placed in the tester.

I recently purchased 5 different button hooks. What I like about this one compared to the others is it is designed in such a way that it works with multiple sizes of buttons and button holes. The other hooks had problems fitting into small shirt collar button holes. The design is also very convenient. The hooks fold into the handle allowing it to easily be kept in ones pocket.

I purchased this for use with jeans. The zipper puller works great. The button puller works with lighter buttons but not with the big brass buttons on jeans

Since having back surgery exiting a vehicle has been a problem for me. I have tried several products to aid me in this task. The problem was so bad, that I had to trade vehicles to find one that is easier on me. I now have a full size Mercury Grand Marquis, they don't come any larger than that in my price range.
Even after all that, I was still having a problem. I will note that the typical assist handle in most vehicles provides no assistance at all in exiting the vehicle. This is because they are inside the vehicle and can not be used to help exiting unless you are double jointed.
I did a lot of research and it came down to the "Handybar" or an assist strap that temporarily install through an open window and wraps around the door frame. The problem with the latter is that you need assistance to safely use it. Someone must be there to prevent the door from closing when you put weight on the strap. This more of a problem if you are parked on an up hill slope. The "Handybar" requires no assistance to use; even when parking on a hill. As long as the door detents will hold the door open, it is a one person operation.
I have only one negative which I plan to write the company about. It is my opinion that the handle design should be modified to raise the height of the handle when it is installed in the door latch. I have found that this latch is not at a uniform height in all cars. In some of the smaller vehicles I have tried it in, the handle is low enought to affect its useability. This is because of the vehicle size, the design places the door latch at a much lower height. However in my retro full size American four door sedan the product works very well indeed.

I bought this for my uncle and I had gotten another one for my father. It's great for those who need a little help getting out of any car. It doesn't matter what kind of car you have this will work. I would buy it again.

God bless the person who invented this. The strap provides just enough oomph to enable someone with mobility challenges to get in and out of their vehicle.

Although its adjustable, it tends to hang too low. Be aware that it will be thumping on the window if you are not hanging on to it. It is a good quick fix and works well with shoulder problems.

Originally written about "Easywipe" (same tool on Amazon) about a month or so ago.
(Folks, please trust me when I tell you that I understand the "uncomfortableness" of this topic but, it is sometimes a necessary evil. SO,)
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a very, very useful, and sometimes necessary, aid for the continued self help (respect) of people who, for whatever reason, have great difficulty in cleaning themselves after using the toilet.
I currently weigh 500lbs and my arm is no longer long enough to reach where it is sometimes needed, I have tried several "aids" and this is the best by far. Both the handle and the paper ends are covered with what seems to be a type of gripping rubber (I do not know if it is latex on not, sorry). This rubber material allows for a secure hand hold as well as a non-slip surface for the paper. The tool is of sufficient width as to give good coverage which may prevent some of the need for multiple attempts. The length is definitely adequate for people in my situation. The tool is curved so that it seems to "fit" the angles needed for the most comfortable use and positioning. DO NOT try to use this tool from the side, only the front (please read the provided instruction paper).
I have noted a slight difficulty--it takes a little practice in getting the paper into the slot provided, I use my finger turned so that the thinner portion is used to insert the paper ends, this seems to work best for me. All you need to do is be a little patient and figure it out for yourself. You also need to be careful and hold the handle and not the "button" that is used to release the paper as it doesn't seem sturdy enough to take any sideways pressure.
The shape, holding ability of the rubber, width, and length make this a very good, comfortable, and easy tool to use.
I highly recommend this item for its intended use. Especially for my large friends. Take care.

I have read the other reviews and I must disagree. The tool I received seems to be rather well made and sturdy, that said--I want to update so that others may make a well informed choice. My previous review is (in my opinion) correct but, I have located some possible difficulties if someone isn't prepared for them:
1. Follow the directions for paper placement and use--the problem (this sounds like the problem the lady complaining obout being messy may be having) is that it can be interesting unwrapping the paper after use. Patience and trial and error got me past this quickly. Wrap the paper around the head and continue down the handle far enough to avoid getting the end of the paper messy, this will allow you to be able to unwrap much more simply.
2. The tool is alittle wide for anything other than a general wipe--this leads to the need for multiple wipes, (alittle bit of a hassle, no more than that)--the way I deal with this is to use paper until it comes out without excessive waste on it, I then switch to a washcloth I have specified for this use that I have soaked in warm water, the washcloth is then used with the wipe tool to complete the process. Again, trial and error will get you where you are more or less comfortable using the tool.
3. Since the point of this tool is to get clean, I will share with you a process I have found to help me greatly--I place my left foot on the side of my bathtub to make it easier for me to reach and provide better access, this took some practice to master but, once I did it was much easier to ensure proper cleaning.
---I realize that this may seem bothersome, but really it isn't. Be prepared to use trial and error and you will get it figured out so that it works best for you.
---The reason I am going in such detail folks is because I am a 500 lb man in a world that is either disgusted or incredulous when they see me at 2 or 3 in the morning shopping, in an effort to avoid people. Either way, those of us in similar situations need to help each other with making life a little more pleasant. I realize that those people not in this situation may be shocked by my frankness because we all know that we all choose to be this way, or are to lazy to excercise, or eat to much, and it is just soooooo much fun being morbidly obese--ain't it folks?
---The tool works for what it is intended for, use trial and error.
UPDATE (AUGUST 15, 2011):
--- AN ADDRESS AND A SINCERE APOLOGY TO THE ELDERLY LADY MENTIONED IN A NEGATIVE REVIEW ---
I HAVE BEEN OCCASIONALLY RE-READING THE REVIEWS FOR THIS PRODUCT AND I AM SOMEWHAT SURPRISED AT SOME OF THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS.
I WILL READILY ADMIT THAT THIS PRODUCT COULD BE RE-MADE WITH HEAVIER DUTY MATERIAL BUT IT WOULD THEN COST THE 35 TO 40 BUCKS SOME OF THE OTHERS DO. (AND ALL OF THEN ARE NOT MUCH HEAVIER DUTY) THE MANUFACTURER HAS TO UTILIZE MATERIALS THAT KEEP THE COST DOWN.
THE REASONS I AM HERE DISCUSSING THESE THINGS ARE SIMPLE:
1. I HAVE BEEN USING THE SAME COMFORT WIPE FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR NOW. THE BUTTON DID BREAK BUT THAT WAS DUE TO MY TRYING TO USE IT AS PART OF THE HANDLE (WHICH IT IS NOT MADE FOR) AND NOT FROM SIMPLY PRESSING IT. THIS ACTUALLY TURNED OUT TO BE A GOOD THING FOR ME BECAUSE IT SHOWED ME THAT I DON'T NEED IT. THE 'PAPER SLOT' IS SUFFICIENT TO HOLD THE PAPER UNTIL YOU CAN GET IT WRAPPED AROUND THE HEAD SO IT HOLDS ITSELF, THEN SPIRAL DOWN THE HANDLE AS DESCRIBED EARLIER SO THAT THE END AT THE HAND GRIP REMAINS CLEAN.
2. I DO SINCERELY APOLOGIZE IF MY REVIEW LED ANY WOMAN INTO CAUSING HERSELF DISCOMFORT OR SOME SUCH THING. I AM NOT A WOMAN SO I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH ALL OF THE HYGIENE INTRICACIES INVOLVED. PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGIES LADIES. AS I STATED IN MY PREVIOUS REVIEW, THIS PRODUCT DOES REQUIRE THE 'THROUGH THE LEGS' PROCEDURE AS OPPOSED TO THE 'FROM THE SIDE' METHOD.
3. I REALIZE THAT THIS COMPLETE REVIEW IS LONG BUT, IT IS WITH GOOD REASON. THE PEOPLE WHO NEED THE ASSISTANCE PROVIDED BY THIS PRODUCT SHOULD HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE SO THEY CAN MAKE A MORE INFORMED BUYING DECISION.

5. AS A RESULT OF THE SITUATION IN 4 I WOULD SUGGEST THAT SOMEONE WHO HAS GRIPPING DIFFICULTIES, DUE TO A LACK OF STRENGTH OR SOMETHING LIKE ARTHRITIS, SHOULD, PERHAPS, BE LOOKING FOR A MORE MECHANICAL MEANS OF CLEANING THEMSELVES.

I really needed this tool and was excited to get it! I followed the directions to the tee. It worked well
for a week, then rubber holding the paper tore. Spring release stuck closed and had to throw it away.
I am a plumber and have a good mechanical mind and would redesign it. great Idea, but cheaply made.
I will not buy anymore from a catalog or products that are made from china. What has happened to America?
